Pruitt, or contempt for the courts
Not only did Trump choose an opponent of environmental protection to lead the Environmental Protection agency, but the Senate rushed to confirm him yesterday precisely because he'd been ordered by a court to release, by next Tuesday, documents that he had illegally withheld from the public as the now-former Attorney General of the State of Oklahoma. Maybe I'm just politically naive, but I can't recollect ever having seen such a cynical political move in all my 68 years. I'm absolutely livid.

I keep hoping that there will be ONE day when Trump will not make at least one outrageous or outright false statement or claim and every day my hopes are dashed. Some are so ludicrous that you wonder what world he lives in - like his claim about Sweden - ""You look at what's happening in Germany. You look at what's happening last night in Sweden. Sweden, who would believe this? Sweden. They took in large numbers. They're having problems like they never thought possible."
Apparently after much digging, it seems "'he might have been watching a segment on Fox News host Tucker Carlson's show Friday night.
Carlson interviewed Ami Horowitz, a filmmaker who has tried to tie Sweden's taking in of asylum seekers to increased violent crimes in the country."' (from CNN)
I followed your link to the ACLU story about Pruitt and it doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Jeanne, I find what's going on in this country disheartening. I haven't done anything political (other than voting) since the days when I participated in rallies to free Soviet Jews, but this may be the time to get back into the fray.
